Yard waste, tree and soil drop-off in downtown Omaha
Bring your yard waste, tree limbs, wood, sod, soil and more to the Soil Dynamics yard at 1725 Avenue G, Omaha, Monday to Friday 8am to 3:30pm and Saturday 8am to noon, April through Thanksgiving. We recycle all of it into compost, mulch and fill. Directions, because GPS tends to stop short.
What we take
- Yard waste: leaves, grass, brush, garden clean-out, bagged or loose
- Tree and wood waste: limbs, logs, trunks, stumps and root balls (root balls and stumps carry an extra fee)
- Sod, soil and clean fill
- Wood pallets and wood chips
- Sandbags: we debag them and reuse the sand in local construction projects
- Drywall: clean and unpainted; the gypsum goes into soil blends. Flat rates, call ext. 5
- Food waste and glass bottles and jars: Compost Club members only
We don't take treated or painted lumber, trash, or anything headed for the landfill. Loads with landfill material in them get a $175 fine and a ban from the yard. If you're not sure, call (402) 332-4710 ext. 5 before you load.

Compost Club and Gretna Sanitation
Compost Club members drop off yard waste free, and Curbside members can bring tree limbs free. Bagged yard waste can be left outside the gate by the Compost Club carts if we're closed. What members get
Roll-off containers for clean trees
Big tree job? We'll drop a container at your site and haul it back here. Flat rate for clean tree waste: $300 for a 20-yard container, $400 for a 40-yard. Call ext. 5 to schedule. For mixed construction debris or trash, you want Hillside Solutions, the dumpster and recycling arm of our team.

Cash, check or card. While you're here, the compost, soil and mulch you're helping make is for sale on the same lot.
